So whats Bruce up to?
By: Dave Martinez | December 14th, 2007
Ireland . . . Scotland . . . anywhere that you can find men in quilts, THATS where you will find Bruce Arena!
Looking to rebound from his . . . um . . . successes? . . . as a Red Bulls coach, Bruce Arena has decided to hit the international scene with an unprecedented proposition . . . an American coach would be able to guide a European International to the promised land!
First off . . . doesnt Scotland have enough coaches?
Secondly . . . I hope he gets the job. Either.
I mean it.
Though I now look back in disgust at this season, it doesnt take away my belief that Americans need to be taken more seriously with football worldwide. And with this leap into the unknown, Bruce Arena is once again putting his face on the American charge.
His chances are very small. Just ask any european I play against on FIFA 08 live!
But it would be an impressive feat for an American to accomplish.
Read up. Bruce wants to go places! (but is mentioned in the same sentence as Steve Sampson . . . yack)

No chance on Bruce Arena for the Scotland job. There are ten Scots that I’d pick before him, and as you said, we certainly have enough home-grown coaching talent. As for Ireland, I can’t really say but I expect his chances are slightly better there.
PS - men in quilts? You mean kilts perhaps?

DAMN IAN! KILTS! I stink! But maybe Ireland would be an option. Who knows.
BTW, Roddy Piper was a tough guy. In a kilt. So nothing but love brother!
