A rather decent offseason.  Now that all of Scandinavia is represented no question the Red Bulls can fulfill their dreams and win the cup.  Btw love the Cooper trade.  #TeamCooper

I think a 4231 would work pretty well. To be honest, I don't really see any formation that really utilizes what we have, but I see that as the best option to use all the players that should be playing.
    GK:?
    D:Solli, Holgersson, Conde, Miller
    MF (2): Marquez, Tainio
    MF (3): Lindpere, McCarty, Richards
    F: Rodgers, Henry

I really think Keel should get a good long look at CB though: Conde hasn't been solid in a few years and Holgersson is new to the league. Keel had a great season last year and proved he could play at a high level.
All in all, though, I think this is a pretty good setup.

For sure not the 4-3-3. You always get Rick rolled with the 4-3-3. I say 4-2-2-2. Marquez and Tainio patrol the defensive midfield. Richards and Lindenberry attacking mids. Henry and Rodgers ripping Gs up top. Back four is any rag tag combo Backe picks. It's top class for sure.

In my opinion a 4-1-2-1-2 would be the best with Tainio as DM and Henry as AM.

only problem with that is you listed two forwards in a one forward system… I wouldn't want to sit Rodgers or Henry personally

The 4-3-3 fits this team in so many ways… even with injuries or call ups, you could have,

    Lindpere-Cooper-Agudelo

    In front of

    Ballouchy-Taino- McCarty

Which is a not half bad front six.

Yup, I did do that hahaha. Lets amend that and make it a 4132 then, everything else the same except sit Rafa's sorry ass.

It's a terrible front 6 any time Ballouchy sees the light of day.

Hell will freeze over before Rafa sees the bench, and that's just reality… that's the “problem” with all this depth, at least one quality player will have to be excluded from the starting XI no matter what the formation, although I think my proposal might do the best job of getting our best players on the field

I know, Rafa will play out his deal and thats just unfortunate. One can dream though!

I think we should try putting marquez back at CB. Now that Ream is gone he may find a better way to work with the new defense. This would also open up spots for the quality players we have sitting weather it is
    agudelo, cooper or whoever.

NY Red bulls should contract Ricaldo Carvalho or Nani in order to bring all those portugueses that live around the red Bulls arena.

as RBs defense has been full of holes for years then those Full Backs on this starting XI plan should be Wingbacks, would make the bid on the idea of the strength of the club as strong attacker. So 3-3-4 would be interesting, but over the years the main weakness of RBs defense are the very slow central defenders, hoping for improvement..
